Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Your Home-Town Paper
In 2001 The Loop began as a dream of owner Claudia Baker and graphic designer Alysia Bailey. As a family-run business, featuring a dynamic mother and daughter team, we are very active in and supportive of our wonderful community. As proud members of several service organizations, including Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce, EDC, Tourism Commission, and Rotary, we are happy to have the opportunity to give back. We wouldn’t be here without the continued support of you - our readers, contributors and advertisers.
A paper focused on Good News, Helpful Info and What's Happening in Tehachapi
Our priority is to inform readers about upcoming events and happenings before they happen. There is so much to do in the Tehachapi area, and we want you to join in the fun! We often hear from readers that The Loop is their favorite local paper to keep informed about Tehachapi.
We feature an eclectic mix of topics. From human-interest stories, spotlights on local artists, pet rescue section, recipes, free classifieds, games, and breaking news. As well as information on upcoming events! This is about community journalism. A paper for the community, by the community.
Read Around the World!
The Loop has been read worldwide! Throughout the years readers have submitted photos of themselves holding The Loop newspaper while standing in front of landmarks, which we feature in our “Loop ’round the world”. If you would like to submit a photo of yourself with our newspaper, please email [email protected] with your photo and a short explanation of who and where the photo was taken.
Why our Distribution Rocks!
With over 150 locations throughout East Kern County, The Loop has the widest distribution of any local publication. We have stands in the Greater Tehachapi area, Keene, California City, Mojave, Rosamond and Lancaster.
