    On a beautiful and crisp fall evening, dancers came to Tehachapi from Frazier Park, Lancaster and Bakersfield to help the Tehachapi Gandy Dancers celebrate 40 years of square dancing during the October Harvest Dance.     The Tehachapi Gandy Dancers enjoyed a 4-day weekend of dance and camaraderie, despite the rain. They attended the 52nd Annual Bakersfield Fiesta and assisted the United Square Dancers Association of Kern County, also known as USDA, in hosting the event.     The Tehachapi Gandy Dancers Square Dance Club held a food drive and collected several canned and non-perishable food items to donate to the local Salvation Army Food Bank to help restock some of their shelves during the holiday season. We had eight new students join us as well as us welcoming back some returning members of the club. On Saturday, January 24 at 7 p.m. the Bakersfield-based Center for Improv Advancement (that's right, the CIA!) will present the third in a series of family-friendly and hilariously unpredictable shows at Fiddlers Crossing. The Gandy Dancers turned all food collected from Club members' generous donations over to the Tehachapi chapter of the Salvation Army by Club members Linda Carmichael, Sharon Guinn, and Diana Hart.     The Tehachapi Gandy Dancers recently toured Edwards AFB. First order of the tour was checking out the aircraft and tower on display at Century Circle. These aircraft known as the century aircraft stand in silent tribute to the Air Force of the past; the F-100, F-101, F-102, F-104, F-105, and F-106 Fighters.
