Local firefighters will be walking the corners of Valley and Tucker in Tehachapi on November 12th during the "Heroes & Helmets for Hope" drive that is sponsored by Make-A-Wish Central California. Organizers from the 2015 Tehachapi Mountain Beer and Wine Fest that was held this past summer on July 18th presented a check for $4,100 to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to fund a Disney World trip for eleven-year-old Christian Morrison. Fundraising efforts the day of the festival will be added to the check amount to cover the cost of the trip totaling $6,000. Christian was diagnosed with Wilms Tumor two years ago.
