    The City of Tehachapi Small Business Loyalty Program scheduled to run through the month of March saw 62 percent of the $20 gift cards distributed to local residents in the first week. A total of 50 $20 gift cards were purchased and another five $20 gift cards were donated to the program from a local eatery.     At the February 16 meeting the Tehachapi City Council unanimously approved the "Small Business Loyalty Program" aimed at incentivizing purchases at small businesses in the City of Tehachapi. Customers who purchase over $100 of goods/services at any small business within the City of Tehachapi can bring those receipts to City Hall from March 1-30. Qualifying purchases are those only from independently owned small businesses and exclude gas, alcohol and tobacco purchases. Other restrictions apply....
