The Greater Tehachapi Chamber of Commerce will be the proud new organizer of Thunder on the Mountain, which takes place Aug .20, during Mountain Festival weekend. Thunder on the Mountain was created in 2000 by the Tehachapi Car Club. During their 20 year run, Tehachapi Car Club raised a total of $400,000 and donated the money to local nonprofits. Family Life Pregnancy Center had a ribbon cutting on June 6 at 103 E. D St., Tehachapi. They opened their door to the community and neighbors providing tours of their new and permanent location. Pregnancy Life Center has been serving the Tehachapi community for over 30 years, changing locations four times. This new location was built in 1898 and will be their permanent home.
