    On the morning of Nov. 4, members of the Tehachapi VFW and civic organizations joined Make Art Tehachapi in the unveiling of Tehachapi's latest mural.     On Sept. 14, Make Art Tehachapi, a nonprofit organization affiliated with the Tehachapi Valley Arts Association, gathered a group of artists to restore four murals. The participating artists were members of the Tehachapi Valley Arts Association, Tehachapi Arts Association, Tehachapi Community Theatre and Tehachapi Signs.     Commencing on July 8, Lyn Bennet initiated painting a replica of the 1915 Green Street Dance mural. The original mural, positioned on 118 E. Tehachapi Blvd., was created in 2004 by Phil Slager. In early spring 2024, the original mural began showing signs of wear, such as cracking and spalling, prompting the need for replacement.     On Friday, Feb. 16, Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District discovered extensive vandalism at Meadowbrook Park. Meadowbrook is a regional park that is owned and maintained by the Tehachapi Valley Recreation and Park District.
