On Friday, July 14, Kern County firefighters will conduct another Public Safety Prescribed Burn. Friday's operation is known as the "CCI Burn" (California Correctional Institution Burn). Friday's burn is scheduled to take place from 9 a.m. until 8 a.m. Saturday. The burn location is CCI Tehachapi, 24900 Hwy 202 Tehachapi.
