Officers from the Tehachapi Police Department used a new piece of equipment on Wednesday afternoon (Sept. 27) to reunite a lost dog turned into TPD. Tucker Road between Valley Blvd. and Cherry Lane. The Tucker Road repaving project has begun and is expected to last 4-6 weeks. Tehachapi's Public Works Department removed eight dead trees along the south side of Tehachapi Blvd. between Curry St. and Green St. and replaced them with eight new trees. The City of Tehachapi has completed a water conservation project that will save approximately 38 acre feet of potable water each year (there are 325,851 gallons per each acre foot). The water conservation project was completed by the Public Works Department.
