    The May concert by the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra included the Tehachapi Symphonic Chorus and the Antelope Valley Master Chorale. Their selection was Joseph Haydn 'Te Deum in C major, Hob, XXX111 c:2. The featured artist at the May 6 concert was 16 year old violinist Alexander Bailey. Alexander recently won the 2018 Young Artist Competition, is a Junior at Stockdale High School and also performs as an orchestra member with the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra, as time allows.     On Saturday, April 14, the 10th Annual Tehachapi Bark For Life was a "woofunderful" event. The walk began at the Tehachapi Depot Museum with the dogs and their families making a circle through downtown.     In Friendship Hall of Tehachapi UCC rehearsals have begun for the Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra's spring concert.     After a one year absence, the annual TVRPD annual fishing derby surfaced again to a large crowd of anglers. The lake was restocked with 1,500 pounds of fresh Oregon grown trout just days before the event. Many of the stocked trout were in the 4-6 pound range.   • Introductory flights provided for young people ages 8-17

    Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 1000 and the Tehachapi Society of Pilots (TSP) members provided flights to young adults ages 8 to 17 on Saturday Oct. 3. This is part of the EAA's "Young Eagles" Program. The prospective flyers must be accompanied by a parent who will be required to sign a waiver. Twenty-minute flights were provided free of charge. Last year 13 rides were provided and this year there were 39 rides from 12 planes....

    Over fifty health care providers were on hand to greet the nearly 200 or so visitors at the Oct. 3 Health Fair. Besides a wealth of personal and written information, SavOn Pharmacy Technicians were performing blood sugar testing and giving immunizations.
