    The City of Tehachapi announced in February that in recognition of March as Women's History Month they were hosting a new Extraordinary Women Recognition and asked for submissions from the public.     On March 4, the Tehachapi City Council recognized the local chapter of the American Association of University Women on their 40th anniversary.     At their Feb. 15 meeting, the board of the Golden Hills CSD approved a $.20 monthly rate increase for residential solid waste collection ($23.68) and $.31 for commercial collection ($36.69).     The City Council voted unanimously on Feb. 5 to direct the city to publish a Notice of Intent to fill by appointment the District 5 City Council vacancy created by the resignation by Councilwoman Susan Wiggins, who is moving out of state.
