On Friday, Jan. 6, WM closed its beverage container buyback center located at 416 N. Dennison Rd., Tehachapi. Its materials recovery facility also will stop accepting material from the public at this time. Jan. 6 was the final day to bring beverage containers for redemption. The public is directed to FIELD Recycle located at 355 Enterprise Way, Ste. D, Tehachapi to redeem their bottles and cans. Thank you for allowing me to be your president these past two years. I would like to thanks all of you for the many hours you volunteered, whether it was at the hospital, blood pressure clinic or thrift shop. Our sales greatly exceeded last year as 2013 was an exceptional year. In January the new officers were installed.
