    Laughter is the main ingredient at the monthly Honor Flight/Veterans' Breakfast at St. Malachy's Hall. It's fun to reminisce and tell experiences from Uncle Sam's military service. "I look forward to this breakfast every month," can be heard from the veterans attending.   • Recollections of the 1970 California 1000 Air Race at Mojave

    The California 1000 Unlimited Air Race was held at Mojave Airport Nov. 13-15, 1970. The North American P-51 Mustang pictured actually belonged to Dave Zeuschel, but race pilot Dr. Cliff Cummins was in command during the California 1000 Air Race held at Mojave, finishing second. Notice the photo was taken in front of one of the original Marine Corps Air Station hangars. It was constructed in 1942.     It's been years since the popular Celtic-music based band Golden Bough has made it back to Tehachapi. Finally, the long wait is almost over.
