The Tehachapi Arts Commission will kick off their third nationally recognized art show in mid-May when 50 artists from across the country will visit Tehachapi to begin paintings that will be juried into Art 2023 Tehachapi. The show will be held at the Aspen Builders Community Center on the weekend of July 21-23. Evelyn (Sue/Susie) Pearl Thomasson passed away on December 6, 2022, in Bakersfield, California. Services were officiated by Sally Periman Lawrence. The eulogy was written and presented by Paul Fogle, Ph.D. Evelyn was born April 27, 1945, in Palmdale, California to Opal and Arthur Stupp. She graduated from Palmdale High School in 1963. On Saturday, March 18 the Lady Water Warriors took the first place trophy home competing against seven teams. In the first event Davery Pogon-Cord, Regan Rodriguez, Allison George and Grace Keller won the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a time of 2:06.80.
