On Earth Day, April 22, Girl Scout Troop 3383 along with their leader Kendra Mauldin and Lehigh Cement CEO Craig Miflin planted a young Raywood Ash tree in Philip Marx Central Park. The tree is the first of at least seven trees that will be replacing dead and dying trees that are scheduled to be removed from the park. Members of Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club recognized Earth Day by picking up trash along Tucker Road and Valley Blvd. The volunteer workers filled sixteen large bags with trash.
