St. Malachy Church is beginning to reopen after waiting for our Diocese of Fresno and the Government of California to ease the COVID-19 restrictions. We have begun Adoration of the Blessed Eucharist on weekdays: currently, Monday through Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Summer hours for Adoration will be Tuesday - Thursday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Fridays, 10 a.m. until noon. Electing new officers for Tehachapi Mountain Democratic Club when they meet online on Thursday, June 4. Planning ways to promote the election of Kim Mangone in her race to represent the 23rd Congressional District was discussed. Neighborhood leaders were appointed to get-out-the vote. Floyd Cox Jr. was born Sept. 7, 1922 in Lawrence, Kansas. He passed May 6. He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Army Air Corps from 1942-1946 as an airplane engine and propeller mechanic. He moved to California in 1948, and established Floyd Cox Tire Service in 1961. He is survived by his sister, Margaret, four children Betty, Lynn (Mike), David (Denise), Gayle (Ramon), 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and nine great great grandchildren. Paul Kaminski, who for many years served as principal of Jacobsen Middle School and then as Interim Superintendent during the 2018-19 school year, is retiring from Tehachapi Unified School District. Kaminski was lured to Triassic Vineyard by his wife Marilyn to what was supposed to be a small personal celebration.
