    Midge Lyndee, Book Review|Jun 8, 2019

There are so many wedding themed books. Some pretty good, some not. Personally, I've been a bridesmaid in at least two dozens weddings, and each wedding was different. Some pretty good, some not, if you get my drift. I love the wedding toward the end of "Under the Tuscan Sun" by travel writer Frances Mayes. Most of the book speaks...

Danny turned his attention to Wade to submit his inflection of disapproval; Wade did not receive that angry glance, he was looking past Danny toward the entrance. Danny wasn't a clairvoyant, or even mildly intuitive, but without turning to look, he already knew that the Chief was standing at the doorway. "He's behind me, isn't he?" Danny said ironically, smiling at Wade uneasily. "Hi C...

  • Tehachapi real estate market loves the sunshine

Tina Fisher Cunningham, Fisher Forde Media|Jun 8, 2019

The Tehachapi housing market should pick up when the sun shines. While pricing remains stable, “the market has been a little flat,” Lorri Busse, Realtor with Access Real Estate and president of the Tehachapi Area Association of Realtors (TAAR), said. “If anything has affected the market this year, it has been our weather. Usually our market doesn’t really pick up until the sun shines, so we’re getting a late start on the buying season.” She said she has not found that aerospace employees are mov...
