Tehachapi Valley Arts Association and Gallery 'N' Gifts are excited to announce their biannual photo contest. Submissions will be accepted at Gallery 'N' Gifts between July 23-30 with a First Friday Awards reception to be held on Aug. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. This year's six categories include Landscape/Nature, Travel, Altered Images, Animals, Elements of Design and Flowers ... and of course our separate category for Youth Photographers. On Aug. 3 the Tehachapi Museum will be open from 5 to 8 p.m. for the First Friday Art Walk. Along with other downtown venues, the Museum will be offering appetizers, desserts and champagne for guests. This month's food and beverage is being provided by Heritage League members Dixie Coutant and Sheryl Bovi.
