The Tehachapi Symphony Orchestra is a local nonprofit that provides five concerts a year. The Symphony will begin its 25th season of providing free orchestral and choral music to Tehachapi and surrounding areas. Donald Peter Brock, of Tehachapi, passed away at the age of 94 on July 1. The Brocks raised their children, and were active participants in their community of Aqua Dulce for 31 years and were awarded Aqua Dulce Pioneer Family of the year in 1996. In 1998, they became longtime residents of Tehachapi, buying 26 acres in Bear Valley.
