    The next Tehachapi Blood Drive with Houchin Community Blood Bank will be on Wednesday, Sept. 7, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will be at a new location, Tehachapi Vineyard Church on Pinon St. Donors to receive two free Kern County Fair tickets.   • New Sergeant sworn in – City Treasurer resigns

    The Tehachapi City Council began their Aug. 15 meeting with City Clerk Tory Marsh swearing in Sergeant James Clark, the newest member of the Tehachapi Police Department. Clark comes from Los Angeles and brings with him ten years police experience. Police Chief Kent Kroeger said he was delighted to have Clark as a member of his department.
