Forty-five people donated blood in Tehachapi on Tuesday, Nov. 16, bringing the total to more than 900 donors over the past 20 months. Dr. Sam Conklin (age 84) passed away peacefully in his sleep, surrounded by family and friends in his home in Tehachapi, California on Monday, October 26, 2021. Dr. Conklin was born in 1937 (the second youngest of 12 children) and spent his early years in rural New York and Pennsylvania.
