One of the first things we are always asked at a gig is, "Where are you guys from?" When we answer "Tehachapi!" people are surprised. Obviously, they are unaware of the deep pool of artistic talent found here in our mountain home, and "Movin' On" is proud to be a part of Tehachapi's rich musical tapestry. Our band members all met here in Tehachapi having played with other bands prior to becoming members of "Movin' On". When we started out our emphasis was on covering classic rock and country...
Do a Google search for The Better Halves and the first thing one will come across is the phrase, "Music handcrafted to make you smile". Considering all the stresses and strains in our daily lives these days, a smile, no matter how small or fleeting, is a thing of great value. Suddenly, our concerns are put into proper perspective and we find ourselves truly appreciating our lives the way they are given to us. Anything that elicits that kind of response should be considered great therapy,...
Tehachapi's very first Brew Fondo was a ride that challenged the cyclists to push themselves hard, and to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the mountains. The trail took them through farmlands, steep hills, main streets, and rocky terrain. It was amazing to see the degree of ambitious looks on faces as they pushed themselves up to the top of the hills. Watching them cross the finish line, I couldn't help but think about the sense of accomplishment they must feel, and the deep quiet...

A native of Ohio, Clark's music centers around stories of love, faith, family, friends and the dreams to which we...
