Breakfast with Santa was the perfect way to start the Christmas Season in Tehachapi. It was held on the morning of December 3 at Jacobsen Middle School cafeteria where children and their parents were served a free breakfast of pancakes, sausage, milk and juice. When Santa appeared at the door, he was greeted with a loud cry of joy. Jerry Hildreth was the man behind the long white beard, and he held each child on his lap while they posed for a memorable photo with Santa. The event was sponsored...

We have enjoyed and will continue working with the City, local charities and local...

It was my treat to be part of the grand opening and ribbon cutting for the Freedom Plaza and Visitor Center on June 30 (located on the corner of Curry St. and Tehachapi Blvd.). It was a wonderful event. To see our little town grow into a Visitor Center just puts a smile on my face. People from around the country pass through our town, and now they have a place to gather information and be encouraged to download the "Visit Tehachapi" app (locals should, too!). We have some of the world's...

I have been very fortunate to travel a lot and I was always amazed that people who didn’t know me o...
