Since the Tail Waggers Group was founded in Bear Valley Springs by Molly Mackin and others, they have reached out in many ways to help the community. On Nov. 7, Rotary's past president Chris Naftel made a slide presentation from his underwater exploration trio to the Dutch island of Bonaire during July and August of this year. Kern Economic Development Corporation President and CEO Richard Chapman and Vice President Cheryl Scott visited Tehachapi Rotary on Aug. 22. At their Aug. 8 meeting, Tehachapi Rotary hosted local artist Dwight Dreyer. Dreyer is president of the newly formed Tehachapi Arts Commission, an affiliate of the Greater Tehachapi Economic Development Council.
