At their July 26 meeting, Tehachapi Rotarians listened as Dixie King, PhD., from Transforming Local Communities, compared Kern County studies done in 2008 and 2014 that pointed out the increasing use of Methamphetamine drugs in the county over the six year period. At their June 7 meeting, the Tehachapi Rotarians had the opportunity to listen to Tejon Ranch Vice President Barry Zoeller. Zoeller joined Tejon Ranch following positions with the Kern Board of Trade, KERO television and the board of CASA. Members from two Rotary Clubs, Tehachapi and China Lake, went on a weekend trip April 7-8 to support the Ninos de la Promesa Orphanage in Tijuana. On Dec. 8 at noon the Rotary Club of Tehachapi held it's 20th Annual Senior Holiday Luncheon. This event started with eight in attendance and over the years has grown to over 300 local seniors gathering for friendship and a full turkey, with all the fixings, lunch.
