On June 19, Crown for a Cause partnered with Houchin Community Blood Bank to operate their third in a series of five Tehachapi mobile blood drives. The Crown for a Cause blood drives are organized by Tehachapi resident Tiffany Rea, Miss United States. The City of Tehachapi has announced the return of the All-American 4th of July Festival on Sunday, July 4, resuming the festivities after cancellation in 2020. Brite Lake is open for fishing. TVRPD's plan was to stock the lake this year with five hundred pounds of trout monthly beginning in January; however the level of the lake was too low. The precipitation Tehachapi received during the winter raised the lake enough so that TVRPD was able to stock the lake twice in February so there is currently plenty of fish. TVRPD is proud to present the conceptual design for our new skatepark. This will be a steel structure with a polyurethane coating. It is designed to sustain our weather systems and last throughout the years.
