Lifelong Tehachapi resident, Wesley Vaughan Fenton, passed away tragically on March 1. Wesley grew up attending Bear Valley Church and went to many camps and youth activities. As an adult, he proclaimed his Christian faith by having "Forgiven" and "Born Again" tattooed knee-to-ankle on each shin. Wesley enjoyed outdoor activities. In the spring of 2023, a new vineyard appeared in Cummings Valley with the planting of Hochland Wines, a Saar Family Vineyard located on Cummings Valley Road across the street from Tehachapi Wine and Cattle Company. Years ago, my husband George and I took college groups to Teriaroa Island in French Polynesia twice through Glendale Community College's Study Abroad Program. Bob Parker, 56, was a big-hearted Tehachapi rock and roller who passed away on March 20, 2012 following several months of illness. Bob died from complications of hepatitis he contracted from a tainted blood transfusion while hospitalized in 1985.
