    The Tehachapi Police Department recently completed repair work and officially opened the temporary holding facility on January 13, 2015. The Board of State and Community Corrections conducted an inspection of the facility in June of 2014. The inspection revealed several areas of the facility which were not in compliance with State regulations. The new permit will go into effect December 1 giving the CSD five years to upgrade the waste water plant to tertiary treatment without violation or penalties.
