The 115th Annual Audubon Christmas Bird Count will take place Dec 14, 2014 to Jan. 5, 2015. The longest running Citizen Science survey in the world, Christmas Bird Count provides critical data on population trends. Tens of thousands of participants know that it is also a lot of fun. More than fifty Tehachapi pet owners turned out Saturday, November 1 to sign up for Have a Heart Humane Society's ninth low-cost spay and neuter clinic. The Canine Creek staff spends countless hours each week taking lost/found pet reports, checking for microchips, searching for foster families for strays, taking phone calls and photos, and corresponding with Facebook fans of the Tehachapi Pet Network (TPN) page.
