Nick and Jen brought their interactive Super Kid Music Show to the children of this town, and they rocked! Tehachapi's very first Brew Fondo was a ride that challenged the cyclists to push themselves hard, and to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the mountains. The trail took them through farmlands, steep hills, main streets, and rocky terrain. It was amazing to see the degree of ambitious looks on faces as they pushed themselves up to the top of the hills. Watching them cross the finish line, I couldn't help but think about the sense of accomplishment they must feel, and the deep quiet...

Running and running. Behind them a monster. It is yellow and red. It makes a hissing sound. It crackles. It is the Erskine fire. Running and running. The smoke makes it hard to breath. And now the smell of smoke is mixed with the smell of fear. "Faster Ember" Momma shouts. Her little legs are going as fast as they...

People from around the country pass through our town, and now they have a place to gather information and be encouraged to download the "Visit Tehachapi" app (locals should, too!). We have some of the world's...
