On April 2, a reception was held for the Tehachapi Youth Art Contest. This annual contest, sponsored by Tehachapi Valley Arts Association and Gallery 'N' Gifts, invites student artists of all grade levels to submit their artwork to appear in their gallery. Before the completion of Adventist Health Tehachapi Valley hospital, interim-President David Eastman appointed the Art of Healing Committee to secure works of art to be placed throughout the hospital. The Tehachapi POPS Orchestra (TPOPS) had been entertaining the community for 15 years before having to go dark during the COVID-19 lockdown in 2020. Now that the virus is apparently waning, the TPOPS orchestra is starting up again.
