The previously announced AV Fair & Alfalfa “Barntober Fest” is now officially the 2021 AV Fair & Alfalfa Festival’s 82nd annual Fair. The eight-day event will take place Oct. 1-10, with dark days scheduled for Oct. 4 and 5. The Tehachapi Senior Activities Center greeted the community with a soft opening on July 12. The Senior Center provides a safe and secure space where elders can share in nutritious meals, exercise and social activities with other seniors. Independence Day weekend was a joyous affair here in the valley. For one thing we were celebrating (a year late) the 50th Anniversary of the birth of this community.
