Winners of the TVAA 2014 Youth Art contest were revealed at a reception for all the entrants held at Gallery N Gifts on Saturday, April 5.
Cookies and punch were served as the young artist looked to see if they had been awarded a ribbon.
First, second and third place ribbons, along with many Honorable Mention ribbons were given to the talented young artist that entered this year.
Best in Show awards for 2014 were Evan Tenderholt for "Assassins Creed" in Grades K through Eighth and
Elena Mankusic for "Distortion Sylvia Plath" in Grades Ninth through 12th
Many thanks to the teachers who put in so much effort to help bring this contest to Tehachapi each year.
Art is much neglected in our schools and many of the teachers use there own money to be sure children have the benefit of art education which brings so much joy into all of out lives.
TVAA donates money annually to Tehachapi classrooms to ensure art has a place in our youths lives.
