Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Tiffini Hughes, founder of Mulberry Place, is very excited to announce the acquisition of Kathryn Holub as our new Director of Health, Wellness and Activities. Mulberry Place is an assisted living community in the heart of Tehachapi, and we are dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
We know Ms. Holub has the experience and dedication to make Mulberry Place an even warmer, home-like atmosphere because she has demonstrated her strengths and capabilities through her positive attitude and willingness to adapt to her new position in such a short amount of time, thus far.
Moreover, Ms. Holub is experienced in a verity of fields in which her performance shines: working with seniors, having a positive attitude, being friendly, and the ability to understand an individuals needs are just some of her qualities. We have confidence in Ms. Holub because we believe she has the ability to fulfill her position by providing the following statement as an introduction to herself and the new community in which she has come to love:
“First, I am privileged to work with the knowledge and extent of care that Tiffini Hughes and her dedicated staff have shown to the residents of Tehachapi at Mullbery. I have experience working with a wide spectrum of ages – children (not just my three, who are now grown), but with school youngsters for most of my life. I am a medical assistant that retired from The Lawndale Elementary School District and worked in the Health Office as a School Health Clerk for 15 years. With the district I was trained in a variety of medical expertise such as diabetic management because of the rise of diabetes in our youth. Now that I have this position with the elderly, I find that besides the elderly having much wisdom, some revert back to a child-like state, whereas they need guidance and motivation to manage their health. I am energetic, friendly and love to make people just feel better.
“I look forward to energize our residents with fun, activities, dance and just moving about, as the elderly can become sedentary in their later years. As a new Tehachapi resident, I moved here for a variety of reasons, one of which is to live in an area where the people are friendly and my newly beloved community makes sense. This is Kern County, the area I once called home two decades ago. Home has called me back to be here; where I am needed. I’m happy to work Tehachapians and their families, who need guidance in regards to making a difference for our aged people who have much to say and share.
“Thank you for listening to this because after all, health and wellness begins with communication. I’m shooting for the stars, and living in Tehachapi has made me 4,000 feet closer to them.”
