Passing through Tehachapi late this past week were these California members, part of a national movement to "Get big corporate and large private donations out of the electoral process. Money donations can and do sway how our elected officials cast their votes. Starting with rallies in Los Angeles, marchers are on their way to Sacramento to deliver to the California State Legislatures their message. Stopping on their way in Tehachapi at the City Hall for a ralley at 6 p.m. on Friday May 23, 2014.
Averaging from 15 to 30 miles a day, the marchers plan to traverse through California's heartland via the San Joaquin Valley, arriving in Sacramento on June 22nd. Other groups across the nation are promoting and working in various ways to get this message across to their elected state officials under the organizational name of " 99 Rise".
