Summer Spotlight

Do you need to find a fun activity for your children this summer? Need to get them out of the house and away from the boob tube or the never ending hours on computer games? Never fear, Summer Drama Day Camp is here!

Tehachapi Community Theatre will hold its Summer Drama Day Camp for children eight to 18 years of age for two weeks this summer. There will be two one-week sessions for you to choose from.

Session A: July 7 through 11.

Session B: July 14 through 18.

Tuition is $125 per session.

"Campers" will learn the basics of acting for the theatre. From fun theatre games that build confidence in performing to learning about stage directions, blocking, diaphragmatic breathing and much, much more. The session will end with the students performing a skit and monologues for their family and friends, showing off all the talents they have learned.

Camp is from 9 a.m. to Noon located at Tehachapi Community Theatre's Second Space, 431 W. J St., Tehachapi, CA next to the Spirited Bead store. Campers need to bring a snack and water bottle, wear comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes. No flip flops or sandals please.
