Low Cost Mobile Spay/Neuter and Vaccination Clinic

Have A Heart Humane Society

On Saturday, August 9, Have a Heart Humane Society is delighted to once again bring another low cost mobile spay/neuter vaccination clinic to Tehachapi. Unlike previous clinics, this one (our 8th!) will be open to all greater Tehachapi residents with no income requirements. This clinic is being funded by grants from our own Union Bank, the Ethel and Harry West Foundation, and by a private donation from the Turners. As the latter prefers to remain anonymous, we won't say which Turners.

Our vet, Dr. Willis, the owner of the San Joaquin Vet Hospital in Bakersfield, is a new Tehachapi property owner. You can see him driving around town in his mobile. Dr. Willis and his vet techs will be performing the surgeries. We can take reservations for 40 pets, with limitations on the number of large dogs. Each dog owner will be required to pay $25 and each cat owner will pay $20. The co-pay will include spay or neuter, rabies vaccination if the pet is at least 4 months old, and a pain injection. Microchips and other low cost vaccinations will be offered for an additional fee.

Kittens should weigh at least 3 pounds. Reservations can only be made by the pet's owner at Radio Shack in Tehachapi on Saturday, July 19, and Saturday, July 26, from 1 to 3 p.m. No early birds please due to interference with our adoption day. Sorry but we cannot take phone calls or emails. Should you have any questions, bring them to Radio Shack during those times or post them on our facebook page: http://facebook.com/Haveahearthumanesociety. Proof of Tehachapi residency is required. Clinic location has yet to be determined.
