Kelly's Therapeutic Riders (KTR), located in Bear Valley Springs, is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving the needs of children and adults with disabilities. KTR provides horseback riding, and unmounted instruction to benefit the participants overall health and well-being. Horses are mysterious creatures, providing opportunities for the participants to learn about themselves and make improvements physically and emotionally.

Koinonia Family Services, located in Tehachapi, is a premier foster and adoption non-profit agency with over 32 years of experience dedicated to healing abused and neglected children. The certified homes are dedicated to improving the lives of children. No matter how you collaborate with Koinonia you will make a difference for children in Kern County. Most of the children in foster care have never experienced a loving and patient home. Koinonia's mission is to find families that can give these children the home they deserve. All proceeds benefit these two local non-profits.

KTR's goal is to raise $1,500 to provide scholarships for children with disabilities who otherwise could not afford the riding program. Koinonia's goal is to raise $1,500 to provide a Christmas party, complete with Santa Claus, food and gifts for 35 children in foster care.
