Tehachapi's Online Community News & Entertainment Guide
Oct. 11 to 12
The Apple Festival was an incredible success last year, so its coming back and this year it will be even more apple-y. David Brust, the event organizer, announced that this year the festival will be a two-day event on October 11 and 12 from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. at Railroad Park and Robinson Street, in Tehachapi. Some of the things that you can expect are even more apple related items, including apple cider, apple drinks, more farmers with apples, and each vendor will have something apple-y.
Besides the great vendors, foods, and drinks the Kid Zone run by Boy Scout Troop 3 will be going on at the Depot Museum.
The event is free to the public and features some great live music; a pie eating contest; a pie baking contest which is being sponsored by The Loop newspaper;
a modern take on apple bobbing; apple drop; and so much more!
"Tehachapi Festivals was created to help local charities, put on great events and promote the Tehachapi area to tourists and locals", said Brust. In the case of the Apple Festival, nonprofits including Boy Scout Troop 3, the Wrestling Cub, Lions Club, Rotary Club of Tehachapi and Kiwanis will all benefit from participation.
Come on down for a fun filled, "apple scrumptious" time in our beautiful Downtown.
