Tehachapi resident Irene Williams completes training to become a voice for abused and neglected children

Court Appointed Special Advocates announces the graduation of the most recent class of CASA trainees. One of the Kern County Juvenile Court Judges will swear in the graduates as Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Kern County during a special ceremony on Wednesday, March 4, 2015. A local resident completed a five week training session and attended classes twice a week in the evenings faithfully and never missed a class.

CASA volunteers are appointed by the juvenile court judge to assess the current circumstances of the child, report these findings, and speak on the child’s behalf in court.

CASA of Kern County will also be receiving a generous donation from Chevron of $70,000 which will be presented during our graduation. We would love if you would join us in recognizing her efforts and hard work.

When: Wed., March 4, 2015 @ 6:30 p.m.

Where: KCSOC Building, City Centre, 1300 17th Street (17th & L St), Bakersfield, CA 93301
