On March 19 the Stallion Springs Community Service District's Board of Directors will meet to discuss the future of Stallion Springs. This strategic planning session will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will address the needs of the community. The public is welcome.
In order to make the meeting as productive as possible, facilitator David Aranda would appreciate your candid responses to a group of questions that will be compiled and used in preparation for the meeting. You can remain anonymous if you choose. If you would like to participate, please go to the CSD website (mysscsd.com), and complete and submit the questionnaire by March 16.
The Stallion Springs CERT held a practice fire training session at its March 4 meeting. The group practiced the proper way to approach a fire, and how to use an extinguisher to put it out in a safe manner. The next meeting is scheduled for Wednesday Apr. 1 at 6:30 p.m. at the CSD offices.

Get informed and be ready to protect yourself and your community following a disaster. Come to the meeting and learn about the CERT way to be safe.
The POA held its regular meeting on Feb. 24 at the SS Library. In the cake decorating contest Leo and Aaron Martinez were recognized for their decorating in the 10-and-under group, and Julia Miller for the over-10 group.
Michelle Vance, Tehachapi Economic Development Coordinator, will be the speaker at the next regular meeting on Mar. 24 at the CSD offices. Come out and hear what's happening in the city and the surrounding area.
The POA will hold its annual Dinner Dance, "A Night to Remember", in the Corral Room at the Community Center on Apr. 11. This function is a fundraiser to provide scholarships for graduating seniors from Stallion Springs. Tickets are $25 for singles or $45 for couples. Be aware the Stallion Springs Police Department is cracking down on speeders and cars failing to come to a full stop at stop signs in the area. This includes Banducci Rd. and Pellisier Rd., as well as Stallion Springs Dr.
– Movie Night, "Guardians of the Galaxy". The movie is free and will be shown in the Corral Room.
