What's up in Stallion Springs?

The Stallion Springs Board of Directors held its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 17, at the CSD offices. The board approved the establishment of the road assessment fee in the amount of $150, the same as it has been for the past 20 years. The water and waste water standby fees were also established in amounts equal to previous years. A hearing will be held to hear any comments on these fees.

On March 19 the Stallion Springs Community Service District’s Board of Directors met to discuss the future of Stallion Springs. This strategic planning session was held to help define and address the needs of the community over the next five year period.

In order to make the meeting as productive as possible, Facilitator David Aranda reviewed and compiled responses received from the web site questionnaire in preparation for the meeting. Aranda is currently preparing a report on the discussions and recommended action from the meeting.

The Board held an Emergency Meeting on March 20 and approved an amount not to exceed $25,000 to have South Valley Pump, Inc. pull and replace the failed pump at Cummings Valley Well #2. Estimated time to replace and test the well is four weeks.
