Fix Your Pet (FYP)

Tehachapi Humane Society and Dr. Beverly Billingsley Veterinary Clinic have joined forces to provide Fix Your Pet (FYP) spay/neuter clinics to low income residents of Tehachapi, only. Pets will be kept overnight at the clinic and picked up by owners the next day. The next clinic dates with Dr. Billingsley are planned for May 13 and June 10. More clinic dates with Dr. Billingsley will be held the second Wednesday of every month. Don’t forget, pet vaccine clinics are held the second Saturday of every month at the Tehachapi Humane Society office, 21600 Golden Hills Blvd #3, from 10 a.m. to Noon.

Tehachapi Veterinary Hospital will be joining this effort with clinic dates on April 29, May 28 and June 24. They will provide the same care for each pet.

Co-payments for cats are $10 and $20 for dogs, cash only, non-refundable. No pets over the age of 6, no cryptorchid or pyrometra pets. No one will be seen without an appointment. Call Tehachapi Humane Society, (661) 823-0699, extension 8, for appointments or for more information. Clinic costs are being paid for by THS and private donors. No grants or county funds have been provided for this endeavor. If you would like to donate to this very worthy cause, please specify you want your donation to go towards “FYP”.

Spay/neuter voucher programs for companion pets and feral cats are still available for those who do not qualify for FYP. These voucher programs have been in place for over 24 years for East Kern residents and have made a significant impact.
