Great turnout for local fundraiser at Dog House Saloon

Tehachapi Cancer Society is doing an ongoing pool tournament at the Dog House. Part of the funds raised will be donated to Brant Lewter to help him with the cost of cancer treatment. The tournaments will be every Wednesday at

6 p.m through June 17, 2015, with a $10 buy in. Not only will you be helping Brant, but will be helping other local cancer patients.

Brant was a young healthy 26-year-old man who was recently diagnosed with stage three Anaplastic Astrocytoma cancer in the brain.

Even with this devastating news Brant has remained very positive. After surgery in February he has been undergoing constant chemo and radiation therapy.

Brant has been told the cancer will return and that he will have to endure treatment for the rest of his life.

For those of you who have had the pleasure of knowing Brant, you know he is one of a kind. He has served six years for our country, is very athletic and is working towards a degree in kinesiology (the study of physical fitness). He enjoyed (most times) growing up with his family raising Clydesdales. Brant’s parents are well rooted in Tehachapi. His dad Chuck, works for the local Fire Department, and most locals know the Chadeau Mountain Clydesdales as a landmark in Tehachapi.

Brant has a great deal of family and friends supporting him but he needs our help more than ever.

The cost of ongoing treatment is going to be a tremendous burden for Brant and his family so any financial donations are greatly appreciated.
