Have A Heart continues Wednesday spay/neuter clinics

Have a Heart Humane Society is pleased to be able to continue our Wednesday Mini Spay/Neuter Clinics with Dr. Willis of San Joaquin Vet Hospital. This program is funded by a private grant, not county money, and will continue until funds run out.

Pet owners pay a co-pay of $35 for dogs (any size) and $25 for cats. The balance will be paid by Have a Heart. Services include spay or neuter, rabies vaccination if your pet is old enough, a pain shot and a microchip, which is mandatory. They will not take pets over six years old, male pets whose testicles are not showing, or female pets that are in heat or known to be pregnant, as the risks are too high and these pets require additional treatment.

Pet owners can sign up in person at Tehachapi’s Radio Shack, 1121 W Valley Blvd., on most Saturdays. Bring proof of Tehachapi residency and cash for your co-pay. There is no limit on the number of pets you may have altered and no limit on the size of the dog.

The mobile clinic is located on Pegasus Rd. near the Ostrich Farm in Cummings Valley, Tehachapi. Pet owners will drop off pets before 8:30 a.m. and pick up around 1 p.m. Additional vaccinations may be purchased from the vet at the time of your visit. No emails or phone calls, please.
