Howdy – Tehachapi City Manager Greg Garrett told the Greater Tehachapi Economic Development Council (GTEDC) on May 6 at The Shed restaurant that the California High Speed Rail project is moving forward. “Love it or hate it, they’re coming to town,” he said. “We’re working with the HSR folks on the proper alignment.”

Kids! – Tehachapi Unified School District Superintendent Susan Andreas-Bervel said the district currently is enrolling children for the class of 2028. For the first time, the district is offering one or two all-day kindergarten classes at each site.
