A May snowstorm dropped a couple of inches of snow on the mountain ridges in Bear Valley Springs on May 7. Starting with clear skies on Thursday morning, by early afternoon snow flurries were falling at the 6,000 foot level. By late afternoon measurable snow had fallen leaving the landscape with a heavy dusting of the white stuff. It continued overnight night, bringing much needed moisture. Postcard scenes and slippery roads greeted residents, but no driving difficulties were encountered.
