Thrills and spills as the end is near for the Tehachapi 2015 Rodeo Season
Thrills and spills greeted participants as the 2015 Tehachapi Rodeo Season winds down. PRCA Cowboys (below) took home prize money while others took home a taste of good old Tehachapi arena soil, young Junior Rodeo cowboys and girls gained even more experience in the sport of Rodeo.
Still to go this rodeo season is the Jr. Rodeo Finals scheduled on Sunday Sept. 13. These Jr. Cowboys and Cowgirls have been building performance points over the past four rodeos and will now show their stuff one final time this year. Top prizes for the young participants are new donated saddles, belt buckles, tack and western wear, as well as the much coveted bragging rights of a “Win”. Come view these fine young Americans. There should be nearly 80-100 participants at the daylong event, on Sept 13 at the Tehachapi Rodeo Grounds and Event Center near the city airport.
Grand Entry begins at 9 a.m. and the PeeWee events start immediately following the grand entry. We invite family, friends, and the public to join us as we cheer on our Cowboys and Cowgirls. Our rodeo admission is free. The Rodeo Association phone number is 661-557-7336 for more information.
