Open Studios at the Treasure Trove
Open Studios at the Treasure Trove do not require reservations – you can come and be inspired to do your best work (or play!) in our comfortable and creative environment and share ideas with other artists and crafters. No teachers will be available during open studios. Come any time any time the store is open and classes are not using the entire room. Three hour Open Studio sessions are available for $5. Come on over and get busy being creative!
Monday evening - 5 to 8 p.m.

Friday morning - 10 to 1 p.m.
Open Studio - All Media.
PFLAG (Parents and Friends of Lesbians and Gays) meets Third Thursdays 7 p.m.
Classes at the Treasure Trove
Reservations for all classes with a deposit must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled class. Students may bring their own supplies for classes or purchase supplies at the Treasure Trove. Monday Mornings, 10-12 Drawing with the Right Side of the Brain with Lucinda Thomas for $15 per session.. Students will learn basic drawing techniques using the “Right Side of The Brain” Approach. New students welcome on any class date. Supplies are newsprint, sketch book, assortment of sketching pencils. Reservations are required.
Tuesday Mornings, from 10 to 1, Crocheting, Knitting and Cross Stitch with Ann Tuma for $15 per session. Need help getting started or completing a project? Bring your project or idea to class and let Ann help yo u get going. Ann has 70 years experience in the needle arts. Come once or every week. Reservations and a deposit are required no later than 48 hours prior to the class.
Tuesday afternoons, 3-5 p.m. is Earth Clay with Gloria Moore for $25 per class plus clay and firing charge. A weekly open work shop to explore various methods of working with earth based clay.
Wednesday mornings, 10-2 p.m. - Adventures in Painting with Juanita Niemeyer. A workshop for artists painting with oils or acrylics. Bring your own project or work on a project supplied by the teacher. Juanita is an experienced art teacher and can help with techniques for whatever you want to paint. Paint on canvas, wood, glass, paper or ceramic bisque. $20 per session (not including materials). A variety of materials are available for sale at the Treasure Trove. Come any Wednesday and experience your creativity. Please bring lunch. Lunch break will be half an hour.
Thursday mornings, 10-2 - Adventures in Watercolor with Juanita Niemeyer. A workshop for artists painting with watercolor techniques. Bring your own project or work on a project supplied by the teacher. Juanita is an experienced art teacher and can help with techniques for whatever you want to paint. Paint on watercolor canvas or paper. $20 per session (not including materials). A variety of materials are available for sale at the Treasure Trove. Come any Thursday and experience your creativity. Please bring noon lunch. Reservations are required 48 hours before the class.
September 26, Saturday afternoon from 1-4 - Fused Glass Mask with Leila Klieman for $50 materials and firing included. Use a variety of glass pieces, shapes and glass hair to create a unique mask which will be fired to create a sun catcher or wall hanging. Pieces will be approximately 8” circle. Pieces will be fired by the instructor and available in about a week.
October 3, Saturday morning from 10 to 12, Iris Paper Folding - Halloween Designs with Janet Meabon for $20. Class price includes materials to make one card. Learn to make sensational cards with folded paper. Create a special Greeting. The class price includes materials to make one card. Materials for additional cards will be available for $5
October 3, Saturday afternoon, 1 to 4 - Jewelry Making with Dawn Callahan for $25 Plus Materials. Learn beading and jewelry making basics: Create your own necklace and earrings.
October 17, Saturday afternoon, 1 to 4 - Polymer Clay with Christi Friesen for $45 Plus Materials. Frolic, flip and have fun in this polymer clay class with Christi Friesen, award-winning author and international teacher. In “Ocean Otters,” you’ll create your very own pendant and/or brooch featuring a playful otter and his (or her!) habitat. Emphasis will be on incorporating resin as the “water” into your piece, composition elements and FUN. Creativity and individual expression always encouraged and nurtured. All skill levels are welcome, and all materials will be provided!
Reservations and a deposit are required no later than 48 hours prior to the class.
