Massachusetts' loss is California's gain. Having had enough of the harsh Boston area winters, Kim Giannopoulos and her husband, Louie began looking for a milder climate in which to live and work.

As Kim travels to many of her wide-spread accounting clients, they began looking all along the Atlantic seaboard. However, Kim hates humidity so they began looking to the west. She discovered Tehachapi online. It was close enough to the ocean and close enough to the city with the added bonus of a milder version of four seasons. So... Tehachapi it was or Stallion Springs to be more exact.

Kim has been an accountant since 1995 and was thrilled to find that 70% of her East Coast clients agreed to stay with her since most of their work together could be done online. She arrived at her new home in Tehachapi in March and immediately set up her new office, just missing the "granddaddy of all winters" in Boston. Now with home and office rolling and tax season approaching, Kim feels it is time to expand Accountant @ Work to the Greater Tehachapi area. Check out her ad and contact information below.

Both Kim and her husband are musicians and they have set aside a music room next to their offices so they can jam in their free time. Louie plays drums and occasionally writes music. Kim plays acoustic and bass guitar. Don't be surprised if they show up in town for an open-mike night.

Kim's husband, Louie, also works from home. He is an IT professional working with a firm in New York. It looks like, in time, most of her family could be in California. Their son was offered a transfer to California and now lives in Ventura. Her parents, now retired, have decided to winter in Tehachapi instead of Myrtle Beach or Florida. Their daughter is a military wife and finishing college in Upstate New York so time will tell.
