HolidayLights at CALM

HolidayLights at CALM, open nightly from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 27, 2015 – Jan. 2, 2016 (closed Christmas Day), featuring a dazzling musical tree show and creative, animated displays with more than three million colorful, energy-efficient LED lights. Designed and installed by Josh Barnett's Lightasmic!

"Visiting HolidayLights has become a tradition for many local families," said CALM Foundation president Russ Bigler. "More than 450,000 people have visited since our first year."

Over the years, the show has been updated and enhanced with new, low-energy LED lights, new displays and "fill in" effects that enhance the experience. Free train rides on the Candy Cane Express, on a giant carousel, and a concessions stand operated by Teen Challenge will complete a memorable night out for the whole family.

Tickets to HolidayLights are $12 for adults, $6 for children ages 3-12, $10 for those 13-17, and $10 for seniors 60 and older. Tickets are $2 off Monday - Thursday the first two weeks of the event. Tickets can be purchased at the gate or online at http://www.vallitix.com.

For more than 30 years California Living Museum (CALM), located between Lake Ming and Hart Park on Alfred Harrell Highway in northeast Bakersfield, has provided residence for animals that have been injured or otherwise cannot survive in their natural habitat. Proceeds from HolidayLights benefit the non-profit CALM Foundation, providing funding for developing new and exciting animal exhibits at CALM. For more information, call CALM at (661) 872-2256.
